"The Google Meme"

GoogleThis was a fun one that I got from Weekend Fisher's blog. Which came from Dr. Platypus from David Ng via Claude Mariottini. The goal here is to find five statements or strings that when you type into Google, you get the top hit. This includes the various Scholar, Maps, etc. links and so forth that you might find at the top of your search.

Here were my top five (and actually my only five after I decided to stop searching around):

  1. dogmatic idolatry radical love
  2. Atheism, the Wager, the Burden of Proof, and the Qualitative Leap
  3. satisfactory knowledge lifeworld matrix
  4. wager win lose reform faith
  5. Impact Motivated Belief Experience

I tried a few other combinations I thought would land me something at least on the first page but nope. Although dogmatic idolatry did not land me a hit, "Dogmatic Idolatry" in quotes got me the first one, so I did not count it. It's also related to how old the posts are. Older ones got better results.

I am not tagging anyone in particular so please comment and participate at will. Nice little test of Google too since I totally redid the structure of my blog directory just last week.

By the way, exercises like this will end up skewing the results so it would be interesting to see how Google reacts to the same search strings a week or so from now after this has populated the system.

THe results do get skwed – I just clicked on each link and the 1st page listed is your blog….obviously didn't exsist when you started searching. Just goes to show howw fluid the internet is.
