Posting the things you have been reading during a given time period is as autobiographical as sharing a playlist of music. So here are the things that have rolled around my head and feedreader this week:
James McGrath and Michael Halcomb began a "bloggersation" that focuses on the nature of salvation following an interview with G.W. Bush here. I entertained the issue in response to both here as well. Check out Theo Geek as well for another perspective on why Jesus died related to the formation of the church.
Johnny-Dee asks, "Is Friendly Atheism Paradoxical?" which results in a somewhat heated debate. I think his response on 20 Feb 2008 at 10:37 pm is worth a consideration from many an atheist debater to consider. PTET has a nice little commentary on Denyse O'Leary. Tom Gilson posts about an interesting review of the book The Irrational Atheist. Finally, Mike Higton continues his fine-toothed comb through The God Delusion.
Bob Cornwall offers a piece on presidential legacies. And Julie "live blogged" the most recent democratic debate starting here.
Pew Forum presents an article from the Economist on the continuing divisions within Christian denominations. Richard Beck offers a presentation on death anxiety related to the Incarnation. Ben Myers discusses de Certeau, narrative and predestination. Michael Kruse has some thoughts about "emergent". See Nick Norelli on heroism and the nature of forgiveness, Bryan on Hays' biblical argument regarding sexuality, and Mike on the eternal subordination of the son and its bearing on human relationships through the lens of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. Also this post from A is about as honest and open a narrative as one will find of what it is like to come out to your parents for the first time. Regardless of your position on the issue, this is reality for millions of people that the church needs to embrace somehow.
Finally Jim West died and rose again – I think in less than three days lest we confuse him with Jesus in any way. Scott McLemee posts an interesting piece on George Romero and zombie movies which are more than just gore flicks, but pack a political and ideological punch as well!

Drew,
thanks for mentioning the conversation. although, the name is "halcomb" (with an "a") instead of an "o". Anyway…thanks for taking part, I'll respond to your post sometime in the near future.
Oops. Missed that typo. Thanks.
