Worst Action Flick Marathon Ever

This would have to be it and would take about a day to get through. Could you do it? Inspired by RevDarth.

  • Conan the Destroyer
  • Delta Force II
  • 300
  • Caboblanco
  • Street Fighter: The Movie
  • Masters of the Universe
  • Volcano
  • No Holds Barred
  • Alexander – The Director's Cut
  • Iron Eagle II
  • The Last Dragon
  • Ninja III: The Domination
  • Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
  • UPDATE ALERT!: Gymkata
  • - I remembered this one over dinner. Blech. Nick also makes a sound point regarding The Last Dragon. It's still cheesy. "Who is the master?", "I am." Busta Rhymes before Busta Rhymes doing the Ninja thing.  Used to be cool.  Not so much now.  Like a Newcleus album from 1984.

"If hell had a movie theater, this is what would be shown every day for eternity."

    Drew,

I used to think so much more highly of you… :(

The Last Dragon made your worst action flick marathon list??? How??? Why???

Let's forget for a moment that I actually enjoyed 300 and No Holds Barred, I just can't fathom how such a classic cinematic masterpiece such as Gordy Berry's The Last Dragon could ever be placed on such a dispicable list. Daddy Green's Pizza; Sho-Nuff; Jive talking fortune cookie makers; Breakin' 2: Electric Boogalooesque escapes from rope restraints; Vanity as Laura Charles… What's not to like?!!

I shall pray for your poor, obviously lost, and now in my sight, apostate, soul. :(

It was a really cool flick at the time. Then I saw it again. It's cheesy dude. Now admittedly it is the best on the list. But that type of film I go with Brother from Another Planet or I'm Gonna Git You Sucka which were perfect blends of neo-blacksploitation and 80's action flicks. Another good one in the genre was Big Trouble in Little China.

But I did think of one more to add… I shall now update.

The worst on the list? Man, now that would be hard to figure.

But you can pray for me anyway.

    To add to the list…

any Steven Seagal movie (except Under Siege) and Jean Claude Van Dam movie makes the list.

    I would also include
    - King Solomon's Mines
    - xXx
    - Event Horizon (does this qualify as action since its also sci-fi/horror?)
    - Batman & Robin (which I am ashamed to say I paid money to see)
    - Rush Hour 2
    - Speed 2

Crap! I forgot Seagal! I have always wanted to cut that greasy pony tail off. He and Bronson should have done a movie where Bronson is the master and Seagal is the student/apprentice… And King Solomon's Mines. That Indiana Jones rip-off. Wasn't that the guy from The Thorn Birds and Louis Gosset Jr.? Yeah. Never saw it.

I just did a top 10 worst action flicks list. I was sure to mention your heresy, and also not to repeat any of the awful selections that you chose (although if the list were extended most of your picks would make it). :)
