Jedi Church Spews Sectarian Dissent

Jedi Church? Seriously people. I am dubbing a new category called "Stupid Religion" because, well, damn. Darth Vader attacked two young Jedi Knights. I never knew that Darth Vader was a drunk too.

From the BBC:

Mrs Lloyd said: "He was wearing a black bin bag and a cape and had a metal crutch in his hand."

Mrs Lloyd said he was shouting "Darth Vader".

She added that Hughes hit Barney Jones over the head with the crutch, leaving him with a headache.

He then laughed and hit Michael Jones in the thigh, causing bruising.

Both men were left upset by the incident and they believed it was pre-planned.

She added that the pair believe "very strongly in the church and their religion".

The attack seems like something that any totally wasted person would do to anyone that looks a little funny. The last line sounds so oddly dogmatic it is actually more disturbing.

Why? The Jedi Church is real folks.

The Jedi church recognizes that all people have an innate knowledge of what is right and wrong, and the Jedi Church celebrates this like no other religion. The basic concepts and ideals of the Jedi religion were introduced by the fictional Star Wars movies. However, these concepts were quickly and readily recognized by many people throughout the world as being a religion that they could more readily ascribe to than traditional religions.

Right. Because Lucas borrowed from said religious myth with the help of Joseph Campbell! Silly people. Take up gardening or a new musical instrument. Maybe skeet shooting or basketball. Even knitting or cross-stitch, and get out of the basement of your parents just long enough to see the sunshine of day. And stop drinking Mountain Dew and Red Bull all day long. None of it's very good for you.
