New Blog: The Crowded Handbasket

I am blogging at a new joint author blog called The Crowded Handbasket: A Multi-Author Blog for the Outliers of Faith.  The description is this:

The Crowded Handbasket is a safe place for the outliers of the Christian faith to come together to blog and talk.

It’s a multi-author blog with varying perspectives as to the nature of Christ, God, the Bible and the meaning of life.

My first post is called "What is a Liberal Anyway?"

Diogenes Allen wrote a wonderful little book called Three Outsiders that focuses on concepts that were often critical of mainstream and orthodox theological thinking.  The three outsiders are Pascal, Kierkegaard, and Weil.  It's an accurate way to describe the views presented in this blog I think and I am very pleased to join in the conversation which should always be generative of interesting and perhaps often controversial presentations of Christianity.
