Had she collapsed, it would be over. She would have been publicly humiliated, in an epic and horrible way. As it was, she simply didn't win. This may disappoint the baying hounds of the DailyKos and other partisans of the left. It is a nuance that will be entirely ignored by the partisans of the right, who are so relieved that she didn't fall apart that they're presuppositionally sure she must have won.
