Minister Leroy Swailes
While waving children’s books in the air Minister Leroy linked gays and lesbians to pedophilia. He also suggested that LGBT families are “anti-Christ” and flatly stated that gay and lesbian people cannot have human rights because they are simply not human. He charged that sex between people of the same sex is “a form of bestiality” – not that it is like bestiality or could lead to the legalization of bestiality, but that it is conduct involving beasts, not human beings. He also claimed that “homosexuality would be the extinction of the human race.”
This is, quite literally, dehumanizing rhetoric. When one claims that LGBT people are not human and threaten to make the human race extinct, one is laying the groundwork not only for denying equal rights but also for far more dangerous action.
Mr. Swailes’ testimony was greeted with scattered applause. Not one supporter of the referendum rose to disclaim his words. No one stood up and said “this man does not speak for those of us who oppose marriage by same-sex couples.”

Actually, there is a link. A homosexual pedophilic ring got busted in Scotland about a month ago. Most of the guys were baby-siting the kids, whose parents thought that because they were homosexual they would not harm the children. It turns out they were terribly wrong.

How are homosexuals pedophilic? Of course, if anything is anti-Christ it must be the Catholic priests sexually assaulting your offspring. There is nothing bestial about it–only this man is a beast and very radical and crazed in his line of thinking. I would feel sorry for any closeted homosexual near him.
He is absolutely horrid. I would like to buy that book he is holding for my child. I believe in teaching them the truth—homosexuality is a good and normal thing, and everybody deserves their rights. Including us. As a lesbian, as a devoted fiancee, a hard working reporter and university grad, I cannot just watch this man dehumanize people like that. Who does he think he is? With a sour face like that–he does not look happy. I would hate for him to be my father.
