Douglas Rushkoff recently published a a book I have been waiting to read for about a year. It is called Life, Inc. and looks to be more compelling than many similar works in the market that have bemoaned marketing and corporate influence. In this genre for which Benjamin Barber and Naomi Klein have been top sellers, the problem as described is usually that corporations have systematically eroded the public good and stripped government of its value as a center for human welfare development and support. Rushkoff's angle looks to be less cynical and more adept as a reading of culture and our behavioral economic situations. The 9 minute video advert below is worth your time.
